Life in Kadamakkudy Islands

The day was cloudy. When I reached Kadamakkudy I realised that it is high tide as well. The number of birds was very less. Clicked some, nothing very good. While driving back I saw these women harvesting the Pokkali rice. It was something pleasant. Special thanks to the Pokkali farmers who are still continuing with Pokkali farming despite facing many challenges like increased labor cost, reduced demand, people throwing empty beer bottles to the field, water pollution etc. with el-nino induced food shortages, time will come again for all of us to grow our own food.
