While going back from Kadamakkudy Islands, I stopped near this temple for a chai. A very interesting sight caught my attention. I saw trees dressed in silk.

That seemed very interesting. Asked some people around about it. Wanted to know whether it is part of any ritual. None of them knew about it except one. These are the clothes offered to the deity. Later they are used to decorate the trees around the temple. Glad to learn about the rich and noble culture of my land where trees are respected and nurtured. Recently in an article I learned that the Adivasis (tribals of Kerala) do not worship any God. They worship nature..Are they at a higher spiritual realm..
