At it again..the agony, ecstasy ..of bird photography

All geared up for bird photography again. Ever since I lost my two zoom lenses, I was keeping away from bird photography for a while. Now I am back at it, definitely not with a bang. I started to kadamakkudy islands very late, By 11:30 am to be precise. The weather was very warm and the fields were empty barring a few cormorants and a couple of white storks. A local fisherman at kadamakkudy islands told me that this year there is less fish in the waters hence lesser is the number of birds. What could be the cause for reduction of fish. Last year there was this incident of fishes dying in large numbers due to the pollution from the neighbouring eloor industrial area. As usual the real culprits escaped and again I read reports about chemical waste getting pumped into the river Periyar. I am very much aware that this is the global trend and decided to shrug off that thought and focus on the task at hand, that is to photograph some birds.

When all the hoping for a reasonable good click was almost over this one happened as if someone teaching me optimism till the end..is the bird trying to hug me, or is it another kind of crucifixion, reminding that this planet earth belongs to all..every creature has the right to live.
