The ferry route was my favourite route for cycling to Kadamakkudy which excluded all the busy roads and junctions. Now they discontinued the ferry service as it is no more economically viable or they could not think of alternate means to generate additional revenue. My suggestion of lending out the boat for parties after 9 pm fell on dumb ears. I miss this piece of nostalgic history.
